Exterior design

The Changan UNI-K iDD offers users two new matte paint finishes: frosted mica white and matte carbon gold grey (some models come with these finishes). The matte paint can be matched with smoked wheels to enhance the sportiness and sense of quality of the entire vehicle.

The new Changan UNI-K iDD is equipped with exclusive illuminated vehicle emblems, which, together with the illuminated welcome pedal (some models are equipped with this feature), can be used to welcome and see off the user. They light up when the user unlocks and locks the car, and together with the flush-mounted automatic sensor door handle, they allow the user to experience a sense of exclusivity every time they set off.

Interior design

The Changan UNI-K iDD is available in two new color combinations, Gray Morning Red and Gray Bright Moon, providing users with richer and more personalized car-buying options to meet the needs of different ages, personalities, and scenarios.

The “zero gravity” seat system has been upgraded for greater comfort. The driver’s seat of the Changan UNI-K iDD is equipped with 12-way electric adjustment, and the passenger seat is equipped with 8-way electric adjustment (some models are equipped). The user can move the seat back and forth, move the cushion up and down, adjust the angle of the cushion, adjust the backrest back and forth, and move the lumbar support up and down and from side to side by pressing the seat’s electric button, which helps different drivers or passengers find a more comfortable driving position.

The massage function of the driver’s seat of the Changan UNI-K iDD (partially equipped) adopts an 8-point A-surface massage system with 5 massage modes and 3 massage intensities. It can be controlled via the touch buttons on the central control screen and voice (voice control on/off), which can relieve the stiffness and soreness of the user’s back during long-distance driving and effectively improve travel comfort.

The rear seats of the Changan UNI-K iDD are equipped with the rare for an SUV in its class aviation sleep headrests (some are equipped). The headrests are designed with the inspiration of first class airline seats, equipped with left and right ear pieces that can be adjusted from 0-35°. They use double-layered foam with two hardness levels, which feels soft to the touch but still provides support for the head, and can provide a comfortable headrest for different users.

With the advantage of an extra-long wheelbase of 2890mm, the Changan UNI-K iDD provides rear passengers with luxurious legroom. The extra-wide, flat floor allows young children to walk around, and the middle seat has more legroom, effectively relieving fatigue during long-distance travel.

The Changan UNI-K iDD is equipped with a 67-inch (1.31 m²) panoramic sunroof, which is a large, openable sunroof with a light-collecting area of up to 0.89 m². It brings users better ride comfort, and users can open and close the sunroof in a variety of ways, including buttons, remote control, voice, and screen swiping, to meet different operating experiences and convenience.

The Changan UNI-K iDD has a new nanny-level child interaction mode (partially equipped), which supports child entertainment push, child intelligent reminders, and the activation of a child-friendly mode to meet children’s diverse entertainment needs. At the same time, the child video monitoring function allows the driver to observe the situation of children in the back seat in real time, effectively improving driving safety and keeping an eye on everything the children are doing.

Battery life

The Changan UNI-K iDD is equipped with a 28.39 kWh high-performance lithium iron phosphate power battery. The optimized vehicle’s three-battery system has improved the motor’s peak power, power consumption, and all-electric range, while also reducing the frequency of refueling and charging, further reducing the cost of ownership for the user.

Based on the AI intelligent energy-saving system, through the two core strategies of energy control and adaptive energy recovery, the Changan UNI-K iDD can adjust the power strategy in real time for different road conditions, terrains, and environments, resulting in lower fuel consumption, stronger power, and a more comfortable driving experience. The Changan UNI-K iDD can achieve a NEDC combined fuel consumption of less than 1L/100km, which is less than 20 cents per kilometer on average. Even in a power shortage, its fuel consumption is only 5.5L/100km. With an ultra-long battery life, the Changan UNI-K iDD’s NEDC pure electric range reaches 135km, and its comprehensive range exceeds 1000km, allowing users to say goodbye to range anxiety.

In terms of charging, the high-energy battery in the Changan UNI-K iDD supports both AC and DC fast charging, with a maximum charge of 80% in 30 minutes. “Charge less, wait less, save half the time.” Users can use their car as they please, regardless of the heat or cold.

The Changan UNI-K iDD is known as a “mobile power station” and can be called the user’s camping artifact. Its 3.3kW external discharge gun and plug-in strip can meet the user’s diverse needs for lighting, cooking, reverse charging, etc. during travel.

Driving modes

The Changan UNI-K iDD integrates a wealth of driving modes from EV / HEV / SUPER RACE and i-X (including intelligent EV, powerful, long-lasting, and camping modes, and 3 user-defined driving modes can be added), which can be powered by either gasoline or electricity, allowing the user to choose as they please.

Power system

The Changan UNI-K iDD is equipped with the Blue Whale NE1.5T hybrid engine, which uses 14 international advanced technologies from the Blue Whale NE power platform. It has developed hybrid-specific high-geometry compression ratio deep Miller cycle combustion technology, ultra-low friction energy loss technology and efficient whole-machine electrification integration technology to further reduce fuel consumption and make every trip more fuel-efficient.

Safety on the road

The Changan UNI-K iDD is equipped with the Hengwen Intelligent Safety System, which ensures users’ green and safe travel through IP68-level waterproof technology, a millisecond-level battery monitoring system, a full temperature range battery temperature control system, a multi-element “thermal safety” protection system, and four intelligent management strategies.

The active intelligent safety system inherits the advanced safety technology of the Changan brand. The Changan UNI-K iDD is equipped with the IACC integrated adaptive cruise system (some models are equipped with it), which can free the driver’s feet, reduce the driving burden, improve driving safety, and make driving easier and safer. The forward warning assist braking system reminds the driver of the risk of collision on the road or helps the driver brake to avoid or mitigate the risk of collision.

The cabin environmental safety system creates a safe and healthy interior environment for drivers and passengers. It is equipped with a PM0.1-level air filter, AQS automatic internal and external air circulation (some models), and a plasma generator (some models), so that every breath is like being in a forest.
