Exterior Design
First of all the front face, very strong Mercedes-Benz EQ family characteristics, does not emphasize the visual offensive attributes, but rather a very gentle, elegant characteristics, while piggybacking on some sports atmosphere.
The large closed center mesh is a family feature, and it looks like a screen from a distance, with an interesting Mercedes-Benz small star design inside. The headlight shape is not too aggressive, linked to the center grille for a strong sense of unity, and is in line with the EQS, which features Meteor Shower style headlights with 1.3 megapixel laser headlights in addition to Lightspeak Interactive. The bumper design underneath has some AMG styling, adding a sporty feel to the front end.
The side of the body is very rounded, and it has a wind resistance coefficient of only 0.25, knowing that the two-door A-class is also 0.25, so you can say how excellent the wind resistance of this mid-size SUV is. And for an all-electric model, better wind resistance also affects better range. That Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV uses different aerodynamic designs on the body and chassis to achieve the 0.25 figure. The car is 4880mm long, but has a wheelbase of 3030mm, which is maximized thanks to the purely electric platform.
It’s worth noting that the hood of this car can’t be opened, and to add glass water, the filler port is here on the left front wing. The door handles are hidden, if you want it to pop out, you need to slide your hand on the door handle, so it will pop out, you can see that the designers want to add some elegance to this car. However, during operation, you need to try a few more times if you don’t master it well, which undoubtedly turns out to be an inconvenient thing.
The shape of the wheels is very characteristic of new energy vehicles, and some people may find them unattractive, but from a practical point of view, the aerodynamic design has been adopted, contributing to the low wind resistance of the whole car. The size is 20 inches and there are two style options.
The rear end of the car is similar to the EQE, being an SUV, it is more rounded. The entire rear end adopts an inwardly contracting design that mitigates low-pressure areas and serves the wind resistance coefficient as well. It’s worth mentioning the taillights, which have a common look through them, but the light cavities are constructed with a spiral that looks good when lit up and also serves as the E-Class’s EV logo.
Interior design
Sitting in the interior, one has to marvel at the fact that Mercedes-Benz is the best at interiors in gas cars, and when it comes to electric cars, Mercedes-Benz is the best as usual. It is characterized, not only multiple large screens, now many cars also have multiple screens, the size is also very large. But the difference is that Mercedes-Benz’s interior is more out of true luxury and elegance, making the big screen look not out of place, but rather a member of the interior’s luxurious atmosphere. The steering wheel has a dragonfly-like shape and is a great value. At the same time, the grip is very full and with the perforated leather design, the feel is first class.
The dashboard and passenger screen are 12.3 inches, and the center screen is 17.7 inches, note that it is only available in the top trim of the 500. Equipped with MBUX car system, built-in online navigation, music and other mainstream functions, smooth operation without lag, clear and delicate display.
In the EQE SUV, this set of active ambient lighting, to be more dazzling than ever, can be dynamically adjusted with the speed of the car, while built-in a variety of theme modes, and can also give you dynamic feedback when you adjust the temperature, a word, absolute.
The 4WD model of the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV also incorporates an Off-Road Information Display with very informative content such as tire pressure, tire temperature, features such as transparent chassis, and downhill assist.
Power
The vehicle is powered by a 400V architecture with an NCM811 power cell consisting of 10 battery modules with an available capacity of 90.6kWh and is available in 350+, 350 4MATIC and 500 4MATIC power variants. The 350+ is a rear-drive single motor with a maximum power of 292 hp (215kW), peak torque of 565 Nm, and a WLTP maximum range of 590km; the 350 4MATIC adds a front motor, with the total motor power remaining unchanged, the peak torque raised to 765 Nm, and the WLTP maximum range of 558km; and the maximum power of the 500 4MATIC model reaches 408 hp (300kW), with peak torque of 858 Nm and a WLTP maximum range of 547km.
