Exterior Design
The ID.4 X is the first creation under the Volkswagen brand based on the MEB pure electric platform. The car uses rounded lines to outline a layered design, and is complemented by a vibrant color scheme that makes it more in line with current trends and allows it to stand out from a range of Volkswagen models. The new car adopts the light language rhythmic design, the front part of the car is divided into several areas through horizontal lines, the bottom of the front surround protrudes from the front of the car, the lower part of the mesh decoration, the upper part of the car adopts the penetrating LED light band connecting the two sides of the light group, the flattened logo in the middle part of the car also contains the LED light source, the visual recognition is higher when it is lit up.
Body dimensions, the specific length, width and height of the model are 4612 × 1852 × 1640 mm, wheelbase 2765 mm. the model’s body side modeling is more robust, the whole car is closer to the crossover SUV models, the front shape is short, the rear half of the design is extremely strong, while the bottom of the high-grade version of the model matching 21-inch wheels, the internal banner area is huge, it looks very imposing.
The rear part of the 2023 ID.4 X also maintains the rounded design style of the front end, with the roof end matched with a short and compact rear spoiler, the sloping lines of the D-pillar extending to the taillight cluster area, and small details tightening upwards at the bottom, giving the rear a more compact look. At the same time, the rear of the car is matched with a penetrating tail lamp group, the logo in the middle part can also be lit, the visual effect is quite technological fashion.
Interior Design
2023 ID.4 X interior part of the digital cockpit concept, the interior lines are relatively straight and stretching, each functional part is divided into obvious areas, while the floating center console design, so that the interior cockpit looks more broad. The new car in the use of interior materials is quite innovative, the center console part of the use of a variety of material combinations + stitching decorations, the bottom of the ambient lighting to enhance the level of the center console. 5.3-inch LCD dashboard is not a large size, but the internal coverage of our daily need for a lot of information, and the content of the layout in line with the use of the habits of the Chinese people. The center console is also matched with a 12-inch floating display screen, support gesture touch, voice control and other interactive operations, the use of experience is relatively smooth.
The new model car seats unified with imitation leather fabric package, function standard with the main passenger seat electric adjustment, front seat heating. The new car front seat shape design is more conventional, but the chair surface to add pattern decoration, visual effect of youth, while the internal padding is soft, comfortable ride.
The rear seats maintain the same level of material application and workmanship as the front row, the rear cushion length is excellent, the support for the legs is in place, the center floor is fully flat design and ample longitudinal space, which will not affect the middle passenger’s riding experience. In addition, because of the presence of the panoramic sunroof, it will not make passengers feel too depressed.
Powertrain
The 2023 ID.4 X is still available in single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single-motor version has a maximum output of 125 kW and 150 kW with a peak torque of 310 Nm, while the dual-motor version is equipped with a drive motor with a maximum output of 230 kW and a peak torque of 472 Nm. In terms of the battery pack, the car offers lithium ternary battery packs with capacities of 57.3 kWh and 83.4 kWh, and the range is divided into three types: 425 km, 607 km and 561 km.
