Exterior
The front face of the HiPhi Y continues the sci-fi colors of the HiPhi X. The headlight clusters have the iconic family characteristics, and the combination of through-the-wall daytime running lights and shaped headlights has a strong fashionable atmosphere. Combined with the large center closed panel, the entire front end presents a sense of futuristic technology that is common in new energy models.
The side of the body uses relatively straight line design, tilted front hatch and rising taillights to form a low front and high rear body posture, but also highlights the entire car’s calm and heavy. The vehicle is equipped with 21-inch wheels, and the design of low wind resistance + multiple material combinations looks innovative.
In other details, the car is equipped with LiDAR above the roof and cameras under the rearview mirror, front fender and B-pillar, its driver assistance system performance is worth expecting. Body dimensions length, width and height were 4938/1958/1658mm, wheelbase is 2950mm, compared with the high Hopi HiPhi X smaller circle, the whole car wind resistance coefficient of 0.24.
It is worth mentioning that the new car is equipped with the second-generation NT Intelligent Spreading Wing Door with Intelligent Entry and Exit System, when entering a narrow place, the door will adjust the opening angle through the automatic recognition of the sensor. In terms of the opening method of the doors, the rear door still adopts a segmented opening method, only the lower part returns to the traditional, and does not continue to open the door to the door. In addition, the new car adopts touch buttons to replace the traditional door handles.
Compared to the front end, the rear of the HiPhi Y is very simple, mainly using changes in shape to create a sense of hierarchy, with the Y-shaped sides of the penetrating taillamps, which look very distinctive. The bottom of the rear bumper comes with a very wide horizontal black veneer that raises the height of the visual center of the rear for a more compact look.
Interior
The trio of screens remains the signature design inside, with a 17-inch OLED center screen guiding the visual center, a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument screen and a 15-inch HD passenger screen flanking the car, which also boasts of a 22.9-inch HD color head-up display, and a 9.2-inch streaming interior rear-view mirror.
The HiPhi Y is equipped with LiDAR provided by WoSai, matched with NVIDIA’s Orin-X assisted driving chip, and the car is equipped with a total of 31 driver assistance sensors, including: 13 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and a three-zone hands-off detection sensor. HiPhi Pilot Intelligent Driver Assistance covers Pilot Assist (PA), Automatic Emergency Control System (AECS), Active Lane Support (ALS), Side-to-Side Collision Assist (RSCA), Auto Parking, Navigational Automatic Driving (NOH), Intelligent Traffic Signal Control (ITS), Advanced Parking, High Precision Maps HD MAP, Lane Level Navigation, DMS Driver Fatigue Warning & Attention Monitoring, HOD Hands-Off Detection, Steering Wheel Vibration Reminder, and so on, and is standard on the entire lineup.
Power
The HiPhi Y offers different drive versions such as rear-mounted single-motor and dual-motor four-wheel drive for users to choose according to their needs. The battery capacity will be 76.6kWh and 115kWh, and the range will be 560km, 765km and 810km. The rear-mounted single-motor version has a maximum power of 247kW, peak torque of 410Nm, and 0-100km/h acceleration of 6.9 seconds and 6.8 seconds; the dual-motor four-wheel-drive version has a maximum power of 371kW (124kW for the front motor, and 247kW for the rear motor), with a peak torque of 210Nm in front and 410Nm in the rear, and 0-100km/h acceleration of 4.7 seconds. In addition, the car also has CIC high-compatibility chassis integration control, high-compatibility real-time damping control system, ZF? CDC continuously variable damping damper, speed-variable electric power steering, adjustable steering modes, and active rear-wheel steering in full-speed domain.
