Exterior design
The Dongfeng Forthing Friday features a dynamic and sporty overall design. The 410km range version, compared to the current model, removes the black mesh grille and adopts a closed front fascia. The orange decorative strips on the lower bumper are also eliminated, resulting in a cleaner, more minimalist look. The model retains the distinctive split-type headlight design, which is unique and highly recognizable. In profile, it rides on 17-inch wheels, slightly smaller than the current model’s, with a sporty aesthetic. The new car measures 4570mm in length, 1860mm in width, and 1680mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2715mm. At the rear, the design features six circular taillights, giving it a somewhat retro appeal. These lights are surrounded by a full-width decorative panel, and the rear bumper has also been revised compared to the current model.
Interior design
Inside, the Dongfeng Forthing Friday adopts a sporty cockpit style, with a wraparound center console design. It is equipped with a dual-screen setup and features the Tencent HMI 2.0 interactive system. This system offers a vast ecosystem of Tencent resources, 12 Tencent Mini Programs, and voice interaction functions (including voice vehicle control, cloud-based voice commands, continuous dialogue, etc.). Remote vehicle control functions are also available, allowing users to remotely turn the air conditioning on/off for heating or cooling, remote start, open/close doors and windows, and control seat heating and ventilation.
Power
The Dongfeng Forthing Friday is powered by an all-electric drive system. The electric motor produces a maximum power of 163 horsepower (41 horsepower less than the current model) and a peak torque of 240 N·m. The vehicle is equipped with a 49.27 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a CTLC combined comprehensive range of 410 kilometers.
