Changan’s Overseas Breakout: The Q05 Leads a Global Product Offensive

2026 is shaping up to be a milestone year for Changan Automobile’s international expansion. With overseas deliveries reaching 455,000 units in the first half of 2026 — a year-on-year increase of 51.9% — exports now account for 33.6% of the company’s total sales. In other words, one out of every three Changan vehicles sold worldwide is now delivered outside China. Here’s a look at the models driving that momentum.

Changan Q05: The Flagship Global Product

The standout performer is undoubtedly the Changan Q05, positioned as a premium urban battery-electric SUV for the global market. It comes standard with CATL battery cells, offers a 506 km range version, and supports 3C fast charging — going from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.

The numbers speak for themselves:

  • Global sales exceeded 30,000 units in September, with cumulative sales surpassing 120,000 units
  • Six consecutive months as China’s best-selling compact SUV
  • Over 3,000 orders in just three days after its launch in Thailand
  • Already launched in Thailand, Uzbekistan, Colombia, and Indonesia
  • Expected to hit more than ten European countries by the end of 2026, with Australia and New Zealand to follow next year

Deepal S05: Powering the Deepal Brand Abroad

The Deepal S05 has become the brand’s overseas volume driver. Deepal recorded 35,795 overseas sales in the first half of the year, and the S05 alone has surpassed 240,000 cumulative units since launch, including 18,369 units globally in June — making it the core engine of Deepal’s international growth.

CS55 PLUS / CS75 PLUS: The Combustion Workhorses

Changan’s ICE lineup remains a key overseas pillar:

  • The CS55 series is sold in 55 countries and regions, with global sales reaching one million units
  • The CS75 series boasts over three million global users, recently launching its new generation in Mexico, while the CS75 ICE version debuted in Brazil — still drawing strong interest at a price above 200,000 RMB

Avatr: Flying the High-End Flag

Representing Changan’s premium push, Avatr brought the 06T, 07L, and the flagship T09 to the 2026 Paris Motor Show, where the T09 made its European debut. The brand delivered 7,459 units in June alone, cementing its position in the high-end NEV segment.

A Truly Global Footprint

Changan’s reach now spans 129 countries and regions, supported by more than 19,000 sales and service outlets worldwide. In Europe alone, the company has built a network of over 350 sales and service locations across 15 countries.

With the Q05 leading a diversified product portfolio — from affordable ICE SUVs to premium EVs — Changan is no longer just exporting cars; it’s building a genuinely global brand.
